 The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you about and provide you with an understanding of how we handle, collect, use, disclose and deal with personal data about you that you provide us, that we receive through/from third parties, that is in our possession or that comes into our possession, whether now or in the future. We take our responsibilities under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (the “PDPA”) seriously. We also recognise the importance of the personal data you have entrusted to us and believe that it is our responsibility to properly manage, protect and process your personal data.

• Service: All bookings, trips (which include but are not limited to our travel packages), or transactions made with us and to any and all services, and products organised, arranged, or provided by us 

• Personal Data: Information about a living individual who can be identified from that data.

• Cookies: Small pieces of data stored on your device.

• Data Controller: The entity responsible for determining the purposes and means of processing personal data. Yamayama Travel acts as the Data Controller for your Personal Data.

This may include, but is not limited to, your email address, first and last name, phone number, address, postal code, city, and photos or videos taken during trips.

You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service.

(c) misuse of services provided by or intended to be provided by Yamayama Travel.

This is based on the understanding that such collection, use, or disclosure serves the legitimate interests of Yamayama Travel or another organization, and these interests outweigh any potential negative impact on you.

If Yamayama Travel relies on this exception, we may need to disclose your data being processed under this exception to third parties, whether located within or outside Singapore, for the purposes mentioned above. These third parties would process your data for the same purposes outlined above.

Yamayama Travel will retain your Personal Data only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period, except when used to strengthen security or improve functionality.

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ. By submitting your information, you consent to this transfer. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

For requests to access data, once we have sufficient information from you, we aim to provide the relevant data within 30 days. If we are unable to respond within this timeframe, we will notify you of the earliest possible date by which we can provide the requested information. Be aware that certain types of data are exempt from access requests under the PDPA.

For requests to correct data, once we have sufficient information, we will make the necessary corrections within 30 days. If we cannot do so within this period, we will inform you of the earliest practicable time by which the correction will be made. The PDPA exempts certain types of data from correction requests and outlines situations where corrections may not be made despite your request.

We manage and process your data in accordance with the PDPA.
